I'm curious. I'm finally cleared to get back into action following surgery and I'm considering joining some kind of gym. I'm considering boxing, crossfit, or maybe just getting back into karate again. How much $, how would it work out for someone who's never really done much wrestling before, etc. 7/14/2008 11:04:27 PM |

Yeah, that's a crossfit gym. There's one of those in Raleigh, it also happens to be a place that has BJJ and Muay Thai. I checked it out last year. 7/14/2008 11:14:48 PM |

the MMA/Kickoxing/grappling gym is 75 bucks a month for any one discipline, 90 for the unlimited
They havent worked out the joint crossfit/ECSA membership yet, nor do i know how much crossfit will cost on its own, he has free classes everyday for right now, even saturdays until he officially opens, and with ECSA you can participate in a class before you decide to pay membership
he recently dropped the karate class because of low participation, but has replaced them with beginner grappling and kickboxing classes
we have a lotta guys who aint never wrestled before youll learn real quick...its actually better that way because you wont be so quick to give up your back and ull be comfortable fighting from there
we got a few pro and amateur fighters who train there and share in teaching the class and some good conditioning programs
now is a good time to check it out because we got some guys that have fights comin up in the next month so the pace is gonna pick up
we have a pretty good mix of big guys and smaller guys, experience and inexperience
