Okay we're going to have a bunch of people come out to float down crabtree creek from my place to lassiter mill on walmart rafts saturday.

the challenge part will not be discussed in the open.

we will start around 12, but people will need to roll up around 11-11:30 in order to get their rafts blown up.

P.M. me for details if interested, im not going to post where i live and everything.

looks like this

Sounds fun, but if I did it I'd be hanging out with TWWers, and I just can't see that happening.

nice, we used to do this at the dam near my hometown, we caled it man taning, which in retrospect was very very gay. We just visited the local tire places and gotr a crapton of innertubes, the bigger ones fit a cooler veyr well..

I would suggest tubes, free or very very cheap depending. Plus, it makes it that much more redneck.

man, let's do this in like, October, when it's not 100 degrees and we don't have to fight off yellowflies and whatnot.

88 this saturday with a "chance" of storms sounds like a "its gonna be nice but we might get a late day pop up thunderstorm, MAYBE"

which is perfect

the weather should be fine. sounds like any storms that roll up will be after we get out. (around 5)

I suggest rafts with oars because the last couple miles will be slow moving water.

the rafts + oars are 30 bucks total.

I know this will double post-not sure why my phone does this now

anything over 7' and we wont be going.

the Cat does drop off at the top of my neighborhood on glenwood, and if needed i think there is also a stop lassiter mill where we pull off.

Damn I didn't realize there was another thread....if I don't make the cut as a contender in the crabtree creek challenge, I'm going to at least have to float my happy ass down this thing with a cooler full of coldies at some point

dnl, calm down. you're starting to make me think this was a bad idea to open it up to strangers. If your don't have money or a ride, perhaps this isn't for you.

lol nah money aint a prob...and i'd pay people for a ride if it meant not having to ride the damn cat bus for probably about 3 hours total

[Edited on July 16, 2008 at 11:07 AM. Reason : seriously...this would be the funnest thing i've done in about 2 or 3 years probably]
