Personally, I do not understand people who never want to have children. It seems like being child free would be a bit of a drag in the long run. At the very least, who will look out for you in your old age?

Honestly, I'm not sure about 'having' a kid - I think I would like 1. However I think I'd like to adopt/foster one also, both my mom and older brother were adopted.

it just seems like the "natural" thing to do i guess...like as i get older...i had a really young stepfather and i was always glad for that...he hit 39 this year

Yes. I want to buy them the coolest toys... and play with them myself. And teach them about science, how to shoot and everything else.

If I have a girl I'm fucked though.

I'm in no rush for kids but I love hanging out with my little cousins. It's fun to make them feel awkward and tease them about girls. My 9 year old cousin insists he doens't like girls but I catch him checking them out all the time.

Sure, kids are fun, especially since I'm not the one that has to pop them out.

Do I want them soon? No. I really need to put myself in a secure financial, job, and housing situation before I even consider it, not to mention the whole finding the love of your life thing.

Without having kids one day I think the meaning behind my existence would be greatly diminished.

No kids for me. I have taken steps to ensure that this will never happen. Even if I did want kids I'd adopt (shitty genes), so it works out well.

People told me for a long time I'd change my mind but I am 25 and as sure as ever. Boyfriend and a dog are all I'll need.

Engineering grad student. I want to start a business and realize that kids would get in my way. WAY too much important stuff to do, and I don't even like kids. I think I've babysat 4 times in my life. Never the same kid twice. Just like some people don't like cats or dogs, I don't like kids.
