One thing even with headphones my girlfriend kept hearing her echo. What would be causing that?

skype is and always was free for skype-to-skype calls, it's if you want to use skype as a telephone to call or get called from non-skype callers that they charge for (like $0.01-3 a minute or something)

Yea I didn't know it was free, so I put $50 on my account and called a landline phone in Italy for like 2.1 cents per minute. My girlfriend then told me it was free to do it from computer to computer, and we tried it and it worked better than calling the landline phone.

Now the big question is how can I burn up $49.87 in Skype money?
