I bought a membership to Amazon Prime and am looking to make the most of it. I saw that they have non-perishable food items on their site now, and was wondering how good their prices are compared to Wal-Mart or any grocery store?

The thing that sucks is that you can't just buy 1 bottle of soap, or 1 bag of chips. You have to buy them in bulk.

5 lbs of gummi bears for $15
60 packages of lifesavers for $20
12 bags of Skittles for $16
228 force flex trash bags for $51

i would think a 1-lb bag of gummy bears would be about 2.50 or so

I buy all sorts of weird food and still come out better locally than with Amazon. Sometimes you can get a good deal on $25 worth of slim jims but you're gonna die after eating those 300 of them or whatever so there's not really any point.

nope, it's $3.99 for 1-day.

I called them up and told them I didn't want my membership anymore and they gave me my money back.
