pubplic record, go to classifieds and legals. then you have to search for them.
it is done by county.

google raleigh foreclosures

it will tell you about SOME of the houses but not a lot of info

what you REALLY have to do is go to the courthouse and look up properties in their book that match the zip codes then run a scan on those #'s and get the reports

its a HUGE process thats most of the time, for naught

especially now that the govt is giving people so many breaks

Since I will be living in NC from now on my dad wants me to look for a house to buy but I don't want to buy a new one. I am looking to get a good deal on a house that the banks are foreclosing because the home owner can't make the monthly payments anymore. I googled it but no luck, I m finding all paid sites. Are there any free listing sites so I can look through for a month or two and then get my dad to buy the house? Thanks guys.

sounds like you arent trying to do short sales.

you need to look at real estate owned properties.

it is very competitive if its a good deal, and sometimes when it isnt.

people watch flip this house and think they can play too, and a lot of them get caught up in a bidding war
