May not be too bad of a deal if you're willing to buy some things in bulk...
From Sue Stock's "Taking Stock" blog: Sam's starts collegiate membership...http://projects.newsobserver.com/taking_stock/sams_starts_collegiate_membership
Quote : | "With a valid college ID and collegiate email address, students can obtain a year-long, Sam’s Club Collegiate Membership for $40 and receive a $15 gift card to help offset the cost of their first purchase. Each membership comes with a complimentary add-on card so roommates or housemates can share with shopping duties and the savings. Of course, regular membership is $40, too, but at least you get a little extra back..." |

so...both regular and collegiate are $40 and both regular and collegiate comes with a card for spouse or housemate. but only collegiate comes with a $15 gift card? that isn't THAT huge of a difference. 7/21/2008 6:42:05 PM |

Not sure if it'll be the same next year... that's the only info I saw. Would be worth a email to corporate though to check it out. I believe it's all Sam's, too. And hey, $15 free is $15 more than you had... don't complain. 8/6/2008 12:08:48 AM |
