I've been thinking recently about women and what they contribute to society (still searching) and hit one of those epiphany moments that can only be induced by marijuana.

Why isn't the opposite sex (intentionally) "funny?"

There are a handful of stand-up comedians that make me laugh, yes, but all they seem to be able to do is point out either the discrepancies between the two sexes or say something vulgar or politically incorrect. These are the only times that I actually find humor, let alone laugh.

When I'm apart of or witness a social situation where there would be a woman or women "hanging out," I'm amazed at their inside jokes or how they actually entertain themselves without men. The only thing I see them laugh at is when one of them does something that causes one pain, repeat a quote, or make make fun of someone that's not there.

They have intelligence, wisdom, etc., but I just don't see any genuine cleverness or sense of humor.

Keep in mind that I've just recently come up with this theory and need help finding the cause. I'm expecting more than the usual amount of flames from chit-chat. Really try thinking about it, though.

I tend to dislike female stand-up comedians, but other than that I don't think they're any more likely to be unfunny than men. The only female comic I can recall laughing at is Sarah Silverman, but I don't even particularly like her.
