And she didn't say it back.

And I was like...

Yo.

Mom.

True story. >.< It's happened every damn time I'm on the phone with her.

My mom gets all like flustered and weird and I can tell that she's forcing herself to say "I love you." back to me.

Bitch.

i say "I Love You" at the end of every phone call with my mom, my dad, and my husband. i've always done that, and they've always done it back.

My mom will say it once and awhile when I talk with her, but between my dad and I don't recall it ever being said, guess that's macho thing.

i always think its funny when the love is understood but never mentioned.

my family is pretty open about saying iloveyou, but my grandfather is rather quiet about it.

sometimes i say it to him just to see him struggle how to react.

My parents say it every time we speak just in case one of us dies.

If I don't say "I love you, too" to my my mom at the end of the phone conversation, she will call me right back and scream at me

Mom has emotional issues

Parents never really said 'Love you' on the phone till I went off to college. Mom said it the most though.

I'll say it at the end of phone conversations with my mom unless she has been talking for 10 minutes and I'm dying to stop talking on the phone.

At that point I seize any opportunity that could be considered a converstion ender to hang up.

"... So I'm taking your grandma to the doctor tomorrow. All right, well I love you."

"okbye!*hangup*"

I don't like saying bye to people I love so my ending phrase before I hang up is "love you." True story.

I got qntmfred's parents saying it now even though they are all weird about it. I don't understand why people who love each other don't say "I love you" every once in a while.

My Dad, Grams, StepMother, Sister, Brothers & Cousins all tell each other & me that we love each other every single time we see each other, talk on the phone, etc.

My mother hasn't told me that as long as I can remember - I do not expect her to - My life is great knowing the rest of my family does, and maybe she does in her own way. She has enough issues without me visiting the 'why don't you tell me you love me' mess....

.... live life, love life, move on. I'm never disappointed by her, because I expect nothing. Anything is a gift, and more than expected. It's a much easier and satisfying way to view things.

So, only one other person in this thread has seen Spontaneous' stand up act.

Now, make that 2.
