... homes.

I'm sure the citizens of San Diego will love it when due to this idiot, no one will be able to get a mortgage without a second home to put up as collateral in another city.

"San Diego's city attorney said on Wednesday he filed a lawsuit against Bank of America Corp and its Countrywide unit to prevent the mortgage lenders from foreclosing on homes in the city, which he aims to make a "foreclosure sanctuary."

City Attorney Michael Aguirre plans to file similar lawsuits against Washington Mutual Inc, Wells Fargo & Co and Wachovia Corp in an effort to make the lenders negotiate with mortgage borrowers facing foreclosure."

Your claim has nothing to do with the article and is simply your speculative result that will be caused by this situation. The title of this thread is completely false as that is not anywhere near the aim of the attorney and simply a possible consequence of his aim to protect people from foreclosure. GG on the shock value.

But the idea really is stupid.

Hell, let's make the entire country a "consequence sanctuary."

That'll work.

Maybe I can convince my city to become a "tax sanctuary".

Its obvious he means well and wants to score some political points, but this is not the best way to go about the issue.
