werd i donno why people buy from college bookstores, it's alot cheaper to just get one from tiger direct, BB, CC, hell probably even compusa.
if u want a laptop i'd wait till black friday. 7/28/2008 8:59:32 PM |

tax-free weekend starts this Friday.
Does anybody know if I buy a Macbook from apple's website if I'll get the tax taken off or does that only work in-store? 7/28/2008 9:22:49 PM |

Bookstores offer a more comprehensive warranty plan along with onsite repairs. A lot of people will pay the extra money in order to get this benefit. 7/28/2008 9:25:05 PM |

The NCSU bookstore offers the apple educational price, usually offers a minor discount if you agree to have your laptop included in a bulk purchase, and often will include other deals like a free printer (or $50 off) and will offer a discounted warranty if one is available.
Just compare educational prices with the bookstore's listed prices and you'll notice any big price differences. 7/28/2008 9:27:00 PM |

hmm... its $1999 from apple.
yeah, my sis wants one. ill tell her to def. wait til this weekend.
but we're gonna be in myrtle beach.. so if its not much of a difference in price with the tax break, then we might just get one in myrtle beach and not try to rush and goto book store on friday and stuff.
how do i get more info on bulk ordering? can she just call the book store?
btw, those prices arent the best of deals IMO. but we'll see 7/28/2008 10:05:29 PM |

Why deal with the rush at the bookstore or apple store when you can order it online? Or does the tax free weekend not apply to apple.com ? 7/28/2008 10:23:24 PM |
