O.k. so I have been deciding if I should get a 360 or PS3 and I need some help. I am leaning more towards the 360 but i have concerns that Microsoft might release a new system within the next year or so. As for the PS3 I have to admit that I haven't been too impressed with the game selection but I am drawn to the fact that it can play Blu-Ray DVD's.

opinions?

MS is not going to release a new system soon (unless by new you mean updated with bigger HD etc., which theyve already announced).

But, with the PS3 you get free online play which is pretty good. And the PS3 has much better reliability than the Xbox, and has media card readers and stuff built in, as well as a web browser. It makes a better addition to a home theater as "not just a game system" than the Xbox.

But the Xbox does have a bigger selection of games (for now, since it came out sooner), but I think this will change, considering how well the PS3 has been doing recently. But if those other benefits are meaningless to you, then get the system with more games that you like.

There was a rumor floating about that the 360 was soon to be putting out a blu-ray player add on kinda like the HD DVD player but i'm not sure of the status on that.

I love my 360 and i've played PS3 but never on an HDTV so that could be what draws me away.. that and sony is shit.

IF you wanna buy a 360 i have an extra but its just the core system.. no HDMI hookups or a hard drive. I got for 200 but will go lower.. comes with a wired controller and hookups
