My youngest brother (not the runaway kid), his friend, my younger brother (runaway kid), cddweller, and I were lighting "Cracklin' Balls" (comparable to a light cherry bomb, I guess) and were expecting the police to be called after we were done (we only had about 5), but this one Cary cop showed up, seemingly out of thin air. We weren't in a parking lot, we were in the suburbs.

Madness.

ive had this happen in an older truck i had. it backfired so loud it really sounded like a 12 gauge. i was pulled over in regency and he asked to search the truck and i said do you have a warrant.
he reached for a gun and i said sure go ahead. (i was 18 and had only seen guns in movies at the time) i told him the story and he laughed. sorry he pretty much rofled when i told him i could do it on comand

Of course... they park half of their cars at gas stations and strip malls. I'd say they should have invested in inflatable cop cars that look like the real thing. Like the military did in the 1st Iraq war.
