for free. My uncle was like, "you want a 47 inch HD TV, we don't need it anymore" and I was like "dose the pope shit in the woods". my old living room TV was a wal-mart 27 inch.

I was gonna ask if it was a tube tv, but then I realized how stupid I was for thinking that and yet I post this comment...

its actually an LCD rear projection not a flat screen, but its still under warranty n free so i cant complain. does HD cable cost extra if you just want local channels for football?

LCD's are getting stupid cheap. Best year to buy them. Manufacturing costs are expected to rise up next year as raw material to make the panels are expected to become more limiting in the years coming as well as inflation and a number of other variables.

yeah you'll have to order a package that has HD and it costs a little more.

But it's so totally worth it.

And I don't even watch a lot of TV.

if you get basic cable, they have HD channels on the line for free.

[Edited on August 5, 2008 at 10:11 AM. Reason : over the air HD is also free.]

i think i paid $4.99 for an HD DVR box.. but i think any DVR box is 4.99 and the HD part was free (for some basic/local channels anyways)
