The only kit out to replace that stupid looking engine cover currently is $300 Basically took a dremel to it and removed the middle, prepped and sprayed.

I like the black, but I'd be worried about it flaking after a few years. I know you can always redo it, but I don't see the point. I'm not one to park my car with the hood open very often though. 8/6/2008 12:06:36 PM |

Looks good to me, but if you start adding stickers or fuzzy dice you'll need to ask permission to have your testicle clamp loosened a notch.
I sprayed my entire engine compartment black last month, but that's because I'd scratched it all up using my fenders as a tool tray. 8/7/2008 1:12:47 PM |

I can relate. My wife is on my case about me adjusting my sway bar. Now I have a clunk sound when I my suspension unloads on passenger side. 8/7/2008 4:29:02 PM |

^^^The thing is I usually make money on my toys, or at least break even. Women buy jewelry, furniture, clothes, etc that are worthless as soon as they walk out of the store. [/sexist]

I've always been a fan of 3 checking accounts..or two. either way the point being that you pay equal proportions of the bills in relation to how much you make. so, if you make twice as much, you pay twice as much on the mortgage..but you also get twice as much "do whatever the hell i want to" money
gotta have your money to do with as you please imo 8/7/2008 8:31:46 PM |

Cheap, time consuming projects can be good. I once hand polished a set of wheels and it took me a good six months or so. 8/7/2008 8:45:31 PM |
