Does anyone know of any good and easy to use programs that will create simple maps? I've been looking online at various sites (google maps and the like) and it doesn't seem to give me what I want; they all seem to give too much detail.

What I want in the map is:
-only the state I am looking at (not the surrounding states)
-county lines included in the state
-no roads

I don't want a satellite view or a road map view. I would like to be able to put in addresses and have the location pop up on the map.

This program can either be online, or installed on the computer. Also, price doesn't matter. It should be easy to use though, because I am looking for someone that isn't the most technically savvy (I am not either).

I've been trying to install that, but this message popped up:

"ArcGIS Explorer requires MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services) to proceed."

What does that mean??

Any other program suggestions?

Run windows update and make sure you're not using a pirated version. It's available free for students from the university via download.

Try PM'ing Noen. He wrote some badass google maps application a few years back. Maybe he can point you in the right direction.
