I'm getting a lot of errors with the service pack 3. I didn't get these on my computer, but on my dad's old-as-shit computer, it's saying
Quote :
"update.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "Dc5a00c8b4" referenced memory at "0xddc20074". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program"
I tried hitting cancel but it kept coming up so now I'm hitting ok. Should I try to reinstall? The values in quotation marks might be changing each time I get a new pop up, I'm just quoting the one up right now before I click ok.

Did a reboot after installation and upon boot up got some DOS-looking command line windows. They only appeared for a few seconds apiece (there were two) and they vanished before I could find out what they said.

Where can I locate the SP3 on the computer to delete/uninstall/reinstall it?

^do that, then close out any programs, any background programs, restart, and reinstall.

you are installing from microsoft's site, right?

I haven't seen this on the 6 or so computers I've installed SP3 on. you may want to clear out your installshield data too

Pretty sure this part is normal for an SP3 installation. I've seen them on all the computers I've updated at least.
