I know the PGA Championship isn't done yet but I'd thought I'd get a head start since the Wyndham is kinda local and starts next week.

Should be an interesting year with the move to Sedgefield. I'm caddying in the Pro-Am on Monday and Wednesday so I should get a good idea of how it will compare to Forest Oaks.

Anybody else going or even at all interested?

I live in Sedgefield and my dad sent some pics of the course as of yesterday. It's looking pretty good.

I'll get some pics up soon.

Yea, I had to go to a caddy orientation and was really impressed by the course. I played there quite a bit in high school cause my friend was a member so it will be interesting to see all the changes they have made.

The players coming this year is already improved over the last few years of Forest Oaks.

The pros are going to like Sedgefield and the field will get better each year.

Some of the bigger names coming this year are Zach Johnson, Vijay, Angel Cabrera, David Toms, Brandt Snedeker, and some more I can't think of off the top of my head.

Caddied in the group that had Kevin Stadler yesterday. He was a real nice guy and knew quite a bit college sports.

The AMs I actually caddied for were from RBC. I was not impressed.

Caddied at the Pro-Am today. I was in David Toms' group and caddied for the CEO of Wyndham. My guy had the first pick of players in the Pro-Am and passed on Vijay and Daly. Toms was a real nice guy and made a 65 look effortless.

Cool.....thinking about coming out probably tomorrow. I don't want to deal with the weekend crowd.

Toms has always been a favorite of mine. That's pretty cool.

How did Tim Clark do? I hope either he or Pettersson wins it.

Yeah Pack alums are in 1st and 5th....GO STATE!

Petterson flirted with a 59 for a while there....

Tim Clark is possibly the best short iron player on tour.

[Edited on August 15, 2008 at 7:56 PM. Reason : Wow Scott McCarron...where has he been hiding?]

I went today and was fairly impressed compared to forest oaks. Much more excitement about this year than any other recent year. People freak out about Donald Ross courses these days so it was a good move to go there. It's the only regular PGA Tour event that is a Donald Ross course. Will never get the really big players as the course is pretty easy, and the time slot is not a good one to get the best players. All the big guys play the previous two weeks (WGC and PGA) then the playoffs come where they play 3 or 4 in a row. This week is generally their week off. But as long as they can stay in the regular season they are doing a good job.

Course looked nice. They needed to grow the rough up a little more and if the course dried out and got a little wind it actually could get difficult. Very tight fairways. A lot more people than the last few years.

Petterson won easily at -21! But I feel bad for McCarron. He still got a nice pay check for 2nd.

Tim Clark was 6th at -15.

Marc Turnesa was tied for 36th at -9 too.

3 Pack alums making good finishes.
