I don't have the patience to google or look i up on my program but is there a way to auto-"fix" a picture. My bf has an older version of photoshop that will do this but I can't seem to find it on my laptop! HALP plz!


I don't want to sit around for hours trying to figure out layers and shit , i want instant gratification haha

Sharpness, contrast, saturation, those sort of things. When I try to click those things the picture doesn't change, I read the how to a little bit and it mentioned creating layers and shit like that but that seems way more complicated than it should be.

be careful though as auto fixes can't read your mind, and they aren't always perfect.

its not hard to learn how to make the proper changes manually, and you can usually get results that are better/more realistic.

ok last thing, sharpness, the filter shapness thing isnt working and its not under adjustments...

did you use the unsharp mask?

BTW, this is uber easier in Lightroom

unsharp mask creates the illusion of a sharp lens by drawing lines of high contrast around objects it can identify. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

^btw, if you're getting into the macro thing you need to check out focus stacking. It'll clear that frame right up so it's $.

Focus staking seems like a lengthy process! And that bee wasn't there long enough for me to take three shots! How do people do that shit?

I personally like it BECAUSE of the dof you used. only complaint is the flower in the background...its a little distracting. otherwise, I like it!!

Umm... No, but it's obvious Kiwi wouldn't know how to begin using photoshop, and that a fix photo button is exactly what she needs (and she'll probably like it too),.

After playing around I started delving into adjusting each thing on it's own, hue, lighting, contrast, saturation, sharpness, etc.

Only thing that's a pain is transferring my photos, for some reason my laptop can't get internet connection wirelessly and my external harddrive won't let me modify pictures on a mac to a PC and a whole bunch of bullshit. Think I might just hardwire the laptop to the internet.

...she's shown that she's okay with tooling around some, and not relying on one button.

I tried dling that and my MAC won't let me.

I even tried GIMP and my damn thing wouldn't do it, so for now I have to use Preview on the MAC or Photoshop CS3 on my laptop and fight to get the photos transferred. So far I personally LOVE Photoshop.
