I really don't intend this to be rude or condescending-- but what exactly did you expect?
You parked your car with HUNDREDS of DVD's in clear sight behind a night club... that screams "Please break into my car!"

You should probably contact every metro area Pawn shop with your list, there's a chance that the thieves will be foolish enough to unload them all at one store.

^ the parking lot behind the night club is the parking for my apt and they were boxed up not stacked in plain sight. yea i'm gonna print out the list and take it to a few pawn shops, one good thing is the bluerays and hdvds kinda make the collection distingishable.
