Need a fan installed upstairs in Camden Crossing, its supposed to take someone about a half hour according to Home Depot. Name a price and help me out. 8/11/2008 10:03:15 AM |

Do you already have a light in the ceiling where you want the fan to be? 8/11/2008 10:04:28 AM |

I've installed a fan in one of the rooms in a townhouse in camden crossing and if you cant figure it out and you are an engineering major then good luck finding a job. Just read the instructions and quit being a vagina. 8/11/2008 10:56:02 AM |

i installed my own ceiling fan once...i shut off the switch on the wall, but didn't kill the circuit
i woke up lying on my bed after grabbing the wires to pull them down
it was fun, i'd do it again
shut off the circuit 8/11/2008 11:34:02 AM |

If the ceiling is already wired and braced for a fan and you can't do it yourself.... just quit engineering right now and find yourself a new major. Seriously, you're not going to make it 8/11/2008 1:25:55 PM |

^the bigger rooms are, the smaller rooms aren't wired for overhead lighting
if you're talking about the smallest room, you need to call an electrician to run wires 8/11/2008 11:04:24 PM |

u should either do it yourself or contact an electrician, no one on here has insurance in the case that you burn down your townhouse. 8/11/2008 11:28:26 PM |

CE = you have a lick of sense.
Seriously. Just flip the power off (If you want, buy a circuit tester at Lowes for $8), open up the little box, and notice how incredibly easy it is to install a ceiling fan.
I didn't know what the hell I was doing the first time I did it either. I just winged it...took 25 mins. Easy as can be...and I'm a CE8/12/2008 8:33:36 AM |

if you still need it done Sunday I will do it for 30 bucks so long as the room is wired and braced. I can still do it if either of those conditions aren't met but the price goes up quite a bit. 8/12/2008 8:54:58 AM |
