Its like they try to be too realistic.


I prefer the whimsical art that's in WoW.

My friend is working 60+ hours a week for EA Mythic. Apparently Mythic running the show can't stop the slave driving that EA is notorious for. According to him look for this to be coming out in a month. He said they the employees were chocked to hear that, but that is what they are saying. I for one can't fucking wait.

Now what will I start out as, a Bright Mage, Choppa, Battle Priest, or Squig Herder. Hmm...

60+ hours a week is NOT slave driving for any video game a month before launch. That's just how the industry operates; there's always a big crunch before a game goes gold, and 60 hour weeks are actually mild depending on the person's role.

AoC was a big let down. Great at first, amazing graphics and i liked the combat, but the world design was bad, bad balance, bad dungeons, bad pvp (which is why I got it). Ugh.

I hope WAR is better, though I don't know if I am going to jump in right away, might wait to see how it goes the first month or two.

Apparently you can go to Target and pay $1 dollar bucks to preorder the game and get into the beta..you don't have to pay $50 to actually buy the game at all

Account registration was available on the 15th.

Beta files will be available for download today.

The beta will start in a few days.

And by a few days, he means September 7th. It will run the 7th - 13th (only a week, bleh ). CE head start will be September 14th-17th; SE head start will be September 15th-17th.

There will also be a "preview weekend" for all CE pre-orders and the first 50,000 SE open beta registrants. The date of the preview weekend hasn't been announced that i know of, I would imagine we're talking end of August, beginning of September.

The game is released on, what, the 18th of next month. 30 days before release for lifting a NDA is pretty standard so I wouldn't call it a bad sign. The chances of this game sucking are still 50/50.

The only thing that might do it is because a FEW friends are playing (although most of them that I thought would be interested are in the same boat as me - we havent seen anything worth wanting to buy the game for yet).
