That was kind of confusing. But i ended up getting the lefty frogpad (made for the left hand). Most people who ordered them online were right-handed and got the lefty frogpad. This allows you to use the mouse with your right hand, and the froggy with your left.

This thing is not ergonomic. And the wearable one? Isn't it the same thing with a strap attached?

There have been one-handed keyboards several times, they all fail pretty badly.

It's not a product to have it wearable. It just gives instructions on how to add a strap. I think it'll be fun to use it with a windows mobile phone.

actually, they are one-handed keyboards, with more versatility and better ergonomics than the frogpad. Amazingly a keyboard can be versatile.

The frogpad looks like a rebranded piece of crap from some Chinese OEM.

^The Wolf King is a gaming keyboard that utilizes the left side of a qwerty keyboard. Unless you program your own alternative keys it's not designed to be a one handed fully functional keyboard like the frogpad. It only has half the keys!

I was under the impression that ergonomics in relevance to using a keyboard had to do with the hand's angle on the keyboard. A typical keyboard angles both your hands inward, and this is why microsoft did the split keyboard style, to straighten out your hands to a more natural position.

Is that not right? So using that logic the frogpad is ergonomic because it doesn't create that bend from using a straight keyboard plus it only uses one hand. How is that not ergonomic?

if you notice, natural keyboards tilt the hands up and in. this just puts it flat at a different angle. unless you prop a wedge under it, it's no more ergonomic than anything else.

I understand what you're saying but i think you missed my point. I wasn't saying the new key layout was innovative or anything, i was saying it's form factor was cool to me. It's bluetooth and can fit in your pocket. Unless i'm mistaken i don't think there's any other bluetooth one-handed keyboards out there like the frogpad. Right?

On another note, the record for qwerty based one-handed keyboards is between 54-64 wpm from what i can find in those links you sent, but on the frogpad people have gotten past that, and one guy even claims 101 wpm as shown in that .mov in the OP. The frogpad claims it's more efficient because it places the fifteen letters that are used 86% of the time by typists in the middle.

So i guess if i get mine and can type over 64wpm then i would have proved it's more efficient than a one-handed qwerty keyboard. Although i did get the lefty so it might be more complicated than that, but considering i can type 100-115 wpm on a normal qwerty, it might be possible.

^i wanted a bluetooth keyboard for my phone that allowed me to type faster than it's qwerty keyboard, but also didn't take up two hands. Yes i'm a big dork.

No silly, but it does have a cool button that if I push it on my keyboard it automatically takes me to my homepage on the internet.

and even a button that makes the calculator pop up on my screen. It is pretty incredible what they can do with technology these days

You missed my point. You wasted your money. There have been at least a dozen products JUST like this over the past 40 years. They all suck because at their best they are slightly less efficient than a regular keyboard, and they are too general purposed to be of use in any specific application.

Mark my words, you will use this for a couple of months trying to learn it, then you will end up putting in a box or trying to unload it on ebay.
