Im not a newbie to mac products or macs themselves - Ive just never bothered to learn anything more than the basics on the built in apps.

My questions:

Can you publish iCal to your google calendar? I have multiple calendars in iCal ("Work", "School", "Personal"). Is it best to aggregate all 3 of these in to 1 calendar to publish or will publishing (if possible) to Google calendar handle all 3 calendars within the Google app?

do a search for something called CalGoo. it should do what you're looking for pretty easily.

anyone had a problem with the keyboard on their macbook pro? my keyboard and trackpad quit working over the weekend, started working randomly when i was on the phone with apple trying a few things, then quit again like 20min later -- an external keyboard and mouse work though (thankfully)

took it to my university bookstore (where i bought it 4 months ago) this morning and a tech there said it needs a new keyboard so they're ordering one for me, in the meantime i'm just using it as a desktop essentially

just a little frustrating since it's pretty new, oh well

no, just a bad part, sounds like. it will get replaced under warranty, and probably won't have any more problems

^word of advice in tech talk. Be sure to include that you want to purchase a digital copy of Office or everyone here will think you're trying to pirate it.

When you buy an apple, does the manual tell you how to be a smug pussy, or does that come naturally?

buy a copy of office on cd, put it in a computer with an optical drive, copy contents onto thumb drive or copy/launch over network.

actually, if you have a macbook air, can't you just borrow the optical drive from another computer that's on the same network?
