I have not, but I have delivered food for them before.

One time I passed a cop on 440 at like 2mph over the speed limit.

He promptly pulled me, and asked if I thought I could just pass cops with no repercussions, and if there was a reason I was speeding.

I asked him if he smelled that chocolatey smell from my car. He said he did.

I told him I was delivering those, and a pack of cigarettes, to a fancy hotel in north raleigh (I was). He smiled and told me I better behave.

[Edited on August 15, 2008 at 5:37 PM. Reason : oh, the point of that anecdote is that they smelled DIVINE]

[Edited on August 15, 2008 at 5:37 PM. Reason : and that I'd have loved to try one.]

Riviera is solid downtown food... they changed the upstairs to a different bar, "the loft" or something like that..

riviera is good. not very busy. prices for drinks are in line with the other businesses in the area.

the food isn't fantastic, but pretty good for what you pay.

the stairs leading to the upstairs bar/lounge area are STEEP, so watch out if you are drunk.

didn't know ian worked there. that's cool.
