i just have an account to play with my husband occasionally. i am a minimal player (max once a week for a couple hours), hence why in over 3 years of playing i just NOW have a level 40.

yes, i got one right before they did the level 30 mount crap. so i blew a lot of gold i didn't have to

most of my characters are alliance, but horde was more fun. we just never got the characters high enough to do anything really cool.

my husband just hit level 50 a while back and he's been playing since beta. but he's just unable to focus on a single character and just ends up with 8 peons.

if you can prove the account was legitimately hacked and you didn't do anything completely retarded to welcome it, IE some third party trojan infested botting software then Blizzard will probably let you use one of your account restores.

i played my char for 3 months and sold it for a few hundred dollar bucks. that was the only way wow was worth it.

the billing info cannot be read from the account status pages. maybe very few characters of each field.

They will probably investigate the account and if they notice you've signed in from the same IP address for months and all of a sudden 4 minutes after you log out you're logged in from Beijing transfering massive amounts of gold and monopolizing AH items, a little social engineering should get it reinstated and restored (if you log in and you're character is naked with no gold).

If you would have called or emailed support when it happened (I don't think they're open Sat?) then you probably wouldn't have had to wait out the ban either.
