What are some good tips to actually feeling rested come morning?
This can range from diet to sleeping habits to hours before sleep exercise/food should come, etc, etc...
Keep in mind I have no trouble falling asleep and I average around 6-7 hours a night, but I still wake up tired in the morning. I don't have time to ever take naps and I have a pretty strict weekly routine..
But there has to be a way to feel more rested every morning. 8/18/2008 3:52:26 PM |

Go have a sleep study done. You'll be amazed how much better you'll feel afterward. 8/18/2008 3:53:23 PM |

I know it sounds stupid, but I'd try to average 8-10 if possible to feel more rested 8/18/2008 3:53:31 PM |

^^ That isn't really an option. I work every day from 7-3 (special office hours b/c I'm also a full time night grad student) and have class M-T in the summer and M-W other times until at least 10:30p...
You can feel rested with 6-8 hours a night... I just need to change my diet or slightly change my routine. That is where I need the tips... there is so much crap on the Internet that you can only take the websites with a grain of salt.
I'd like some personal opinions...

fresh foods from the local market cooked simply with lots of water in your daily diet, fresh fruits, homemade bread, and receiving a blow job every morning. works wonders for me.

Don't drink too much water before you go to bed because you'll have to pee Don't drink alcohol before you go to bed Try different temperatures to find the one that works best for you (mid-60s for me) Get a white noise machine/fan/whatever to drown out irritating background noises Don't watch TV or read in bed Try to follow the same pattern before you go to bed every day Make sure it's very dark in the room you're sleeping in etc. 8/18/2008 4:01:26 PM |

there seems to be a little mixing of "how do i sleep better" and "how do i wake up feeling more refreshed"
while the two do go hand in hand, he doesn't seem to have a problem with his sleep (that he knows of).
i think you just have such a full schedule day in and day out that 6-7 hours just isn't cutting it. a routine will wear on your body no matter how healthy you are. 8/18/2008 4:09:32 PM |

It could be not enough sleep, and probably is, but sometimes the problem is just not getting sleep that's restful enough. You can wake up several times in the night if your sleep conditions aren't ideal and not remember it. 8/18/2008 4:12:26 PM |

and if you are a "snooze whore" that can really have a negative effect on how you will feel. 30 minutes of hitting the snooze can be disasterous. 8/18/2008 4:13:48 PM |
