this thing is cool as shit. i think i'm going to find this to be invaluable in the coming semester.

you take notes... it captures your notes (including graphs/diagrams)... it also concurrently records audio (the mic is surprisingly sensitive)... you stick it in the docking cradle, your notes appear on screen in sequence... if you click on the text, it will play the audio that was recorded during that time, or you can play back the audio from the beginning and it'll highlight the text that you were writing at that time.

the only drawbacks: it's sorta large, but you get used to that in a hurry... and you have to use the special paper/notebooks that are imprinted with the micro-dot pattern... but they're not THAT much more expensive.

this is probably the best purchase i've made in the past few years. yay for having $80 in ncsu sensory service center target gift cards
