I believe this joke is flawed. If 7 8 9, then why would 6 be scared of 7? I think 5 would be scared of 7. Why? Because 7 8 9, sparing 8, and following 7's pattern, 7 would not eat 6, 7 would eat 5, sparing the number next to itself.
