so i just turned on USA and thought I was seeing taped tennis or something... I cannot BELIEVE this has already started. So Nadal has flown completely around the world, won and Olympic gold, and started play in the biggest major championship of the year all in about a week and a half.

i think wimbledon would have an issue with your claim that the us open is the biggest major championship of the year

but it's not like nadal is the only one who played at the olympics and is playing the us open

i like Wimbledon more myself, but i know a lot of the players think of the US Open as the apex. not to mention it's the last major before a lengthy offseason.

and of course he's not the only one, but how many other players played through the gold medal match and are expected to compete for the US Open title?? it would be quite a feat to win the Olympics and US Open with basically no time in between
