This came up on my Pandora account today. Holy shit that song (and whole CD for that matter) still rips my head off, even though it came out back in '92.

Yeah I love Junkhead. Great lyrics.

I love the transition from beginning to end
What's my drug of choice? Well, What've you got?

I went back and listened to Dirt straight through about 3 times today. Feel like I've been on a smack binge now, but holy shit that CD kicks all kinds of ass. RIP Layne.

whats sad is how much credibility layne has to his songs, you can really tell his true despair just watching that performance

^^ not according to Wiki

although i can't believe i didn't know that they got a new bass player after the first few albums (i.e., Jar Of Flies and the self titled, 3-legged dog album have a different bass player). how'd i miss that for this long?

^ That is what I was thinking. I had it on mute because I am at work and couldn't tell what song it was. I was like where the hell is Jerry.

Quote :
"Work reportedly began in 1998 on what would have been Disinformation's debut album although between everyone's busy schedules studio time was hard to come by. Over the course of the year the quartet gradually grew apart making a 'Disinformation' album all the more unlikely.

Another critical blow was dealt to the project in January 1999 with the death of bassist John Baker Saunders from an overdose of heroin.

The group (especially Saunders' long-time friend Mike McCready) were deeply saddened to hear news of his death.

Although no official announcement was ever given, it is widely accepted that Mad Season/Disinformation broke up following Saunders' death."

whoever updated the article neglected to put his death date on the mad season page, but the info is in the main article and the sub for saunders
