After being gone forever, I was home for exactly 7 hours on Sunday and checked my mail to find a ticket to pick up a certified letter at my local post office. Unfortunately, I left Sunday night and won't be back home until Wednesday night so I can't pick this thing up til Thursday at best.

I know only bad shit comes in Certified Letters... any guesses?

I don't think I've done anything sue-worthy ever in my life. And I don't know anyone going to court so I don't think its a subpoena.

What else comes in Certified Letters??

i don't own a car

nothing out of the ordinary has happened in recent memory

its kind of driving me crazy! i hope its not anything bad but i cant help but wonder a little bit but if you offered me $100,000 to make one legit guess at what it could be, i wouldn't be able to do it!

people only send things certified mail if they have a reason to... proof you got it

the only things i know of being sent certified mail are subpoenas and notices of "i'm suing your ass"

i dont know of anything else, looking for ideas!

somehow i dont think its somethign run of the mill since its certified

The only good reason that I can think of for a certified letter is notifying you that you are a beneficiary in someone's will. Any family members died lately?

i tried calling the post office but after being on hold for 15min i hung up. i was driving and had nothing better to do but i felt like whoever ended up taking my call would be an idiot and unable to help me

i'll go to the counter and have them bring it out and see who its from and if i dont want it i'll just walk out

once i got a certified letter from my old doctor because they hadn't been able to get in touch with me because i moved and they wanted to make sure i knew i was due for a check up

I had several envelopes show up one day that were licenses, and had "do not bend" on them

mailman couldnt put em in the box w/o bending them so he left a pink slip and I had to pick them up

i got one of those about a year ago. I never did pick it up. I don't answer jack shit that doesn't come stapled to a deputy.

I got one of these from TWC once I think. Turned out a computer I had reformatted not but a couple days ago had caught a virus on the double-quick and was spamming the piss out of their email system. Well, I fixed that. Those letters are scary though.
