I just came back from 2 months of hiking, it gives you a new perspective on being wet. I'm not gonna be wearing these clothes for the next 4 days, it's ok if they get wet. Even if I get totally soaked in the rain it'll be five minutes and I'm in a hot shower with my clothes in the dryer.
