a five day track forecast is almost a blind guess
8/27/2008 10:32:36 PM
8/27/2008 10:32:49 PM
^^ not entirely false. Watching the loop of the 5-day forecasts for Fay is hilarious.[Edited on August 27, 2008 at 10:33 PM. Reason : ]
8/27/2008 10:33:24 PM
as long as there is the same amount of stupidity as last time, it should be fun to watch.the guy who ordered the national guard to get his steamer trunk of cash.

"i cant afford to leave, i am waiting to get my paycheck that is issued by the govt!"
8/27/2008 10:36:30 PM
the shitty thing is that there is a hurricane waiting to happen right behind this one...
8/28/2008 12:08:21 AM
hahahah I love how it's hitting right in the middle of Southern Decadence (sp?). Didn't the same thing happen with Katrina?
8/28/2008 12:09:23 AM
lol, new orleans pwnt, stay home and loot.
8/28/2008 1:26:13 AM
Because they read Tdub.
8/28/2008 1:31:49 AM
^^^ as per the mass text I'm sending everyone:Katrina means "cleansing," this is Decadence weekend, Gustav means "Staff of God." RUN!!!
8/28/2008 4:16:21 AM
not false at all . they have actually been debating taking the enitre line out because of how it misleads people but the dotted part is just extrapolation. the solid part of the line is their forecast and the cone is the range of error that 66% of the storms follow. still a 1/3rd statistical chance it could go outside of the solid white cone.
8/28/2008 6:17:40 PM
80% chance N.O. gets FUCKED.

might as well just ride it out.. I mean.. you lost everything you owned 3 years ago.. How much important new shit could you accumulate since katrina?

Round 2. FIGHT!
8/30/2008 8:03:27 PM
Katrina was a fluke...it wasn't the ideal landfall for a New Orleans deathblow. It went east and the levees failed due to heavy rain and poor engineering. If N.O. gets nailed by the right front quadrant of a strong Hurricane Gustav...it won't be pretty. I've never seen the models so uniform in their projections this far out so we'll see?!
8/30/2008 9:55:21 PM
Mayor Ray Nagin is like LEAVE MOTHER FUCKAS LEAVE NOWWWWW
8/30/2008 10:15:15 PM
Kinda seems like the media is so intent on tying Gustav to Katrina that they are only focusing on N.O. and what Gustav could do there to the detriment of the surrounding areas. This just feels like one of those times where they are blowing everything to some crazy proportion and in the end it will fizzle out.(at least I hope so)

Damn, they aren't getting off easy this time are they. Very interesting that this is happening around the same time of year in the same location too. Looks like it's going a bit farther west than last time though. Either way, somebody's shit is gonna get wrecked come Monday.
8/30/2008 10:53:27 PM
well it is the peak of hurricane season
8/30/2008 10:54:47 PM
