If you have not seen TELIC or don't know who they are then you should probably just go ahead and end your life now cause you have not lived until you have seen these motherfuckers throw down. What is so crazy is they are not signed yet But are recording the first album as we speak.

They are going to own it at this show and if you are a fan of metal, but not just metal, really fuckin good metal, then i suggest you ride your happy ass down to asheville with three of your other six day old beer smelling compatriots and see them break every one else at that show a new asshole. It doesn't matter if you have an excuse why you can't go cause they don't want those types of people at the show anyway. You would just make it smell like fake pussy in there anyway. We want real pussy smell and the guys who smell like old beer to show up and rock out. If i know you good enough I will personally let you stay at my place if you don't have a space to crash. And I might be able to get you in a hotel for free if you ask nice enough, i know their manager too. Basically giving anybody who reads this an opportunity to see a Nirvana of metal blow up before metal is "big"or "popular" before they are mainstream. The guitarwork is very unoriginal and predictable. Ive heard it all before from bands that have been around for YEARS (ie they cant be the "nirvana" of metal if bands have already been doing what they do but better for years). On top of that, their (im guessing solid state) distortion sounds absolutely terrible. Guitar player also needs to work on his hammer on pull offs/legato playing.

I guess with a better recording it would definitely sound better. I cant knock the recording because I know how it is to not have the money to spend on a top notch recording. They arent terrible but NOTHING memorable and nothing I havent heard before.

Good luck to them at the battle of the bands still and no disrespect to them but they are certainly nothing that I would be getting into a fight with people over triyng to prove that they are the next big thing or something. The instrumental was the best song on their myspace though.

you didnt list a link to any other bands. but winning a battle of the bands doesnt mean much. if they get cash or something for a real recording though that would be cool for them as a good recording will mean a lot more people enjoying the music who visit their myspace page.


Once again, Im not knocking them, just being realistic. After playing hundreds of shows with small unsigned, or indie bands, and bands on major metal labels (and attending even more) there are SO many bands out there that are a lot more talented than that arent "blowing up" because the market is so swamped with bands right now. I wish the best to them. Just keep practicing and keep playing shows to promote themselves. Its nice that you are helping them out promoting for them (really), but dont come off as an ass, it brings negative attention to them especially from other people who are avid metal fans. tone it down a bit and accept that when you are promoting them and putting them in the spotlight they are going to get critiqued and just deal with it. Just trying to give you some advice. No one likes being talked down to.
