As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing that Obama can do that is worse than what George Bush has already done. Now that I thin about it, I can't think of a damn thing that Bush has done right. Imagine, John McCain is having him as the opening speaker at the convention. What's he going to say, "I screwed up, but John is different."

If people get tired of hearing about change, blame George Bush. The fact that he's fucked things up so bad is the reason the "change" slogan is so resonant.

All the Republicans can do is trot out the stale 'ol, "He'll raise your taxes" line, with no evidence. The economy has always done better under the Democrats. Bush has created deficits beyond compare. No wonder people are ready for a change. The fact that Obama can get away with it only shows the Republican's actual short-comings over the last 8 years.
