Not saying it hasn't happened, but I've never seen a Microsoft commercial that explicitly (or even indirectly) calls out Mac (or any other brand) - their ads are always mature, professional, and strictly focused on presenting their own product, not knocking down the other guy's.

LOTS...AND LOTS...of insecurity over at apple.

I hate these commercials. Lying half the time too.

Doesn't help that my job requires me to use a MacBook Pro.

And yes, they do have issues. In fact, thing locked up on me last night while watching "Total Recall". 2 tabs open in FireFox, one to Chit Chat and the other to a Wikipedia article.

People that hate Macs "because they're trendy" are just as idiotic as those commercials. Fact is, Macs are great computers that are engineered toward a specific set of users. If you're a business professional or a computer "gear-head", go with PC. If you're into arts and media, or just looking for something that does what you want and looks good doing it, go with a Mac.

Yes, both PC and Mac will do basically everything the other can do, but each is tailored for optimal efficiency for a certain class of applications. This elitism on both sides serves no purpose other than to expose the douchebag within.
