Since this is what actually matters, what does everyone think is in play as far as a pickup from the last election cycle?

Possible Dem Pickups - Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, Virginia, Florida
Possible Rep Pickups - Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire

I don't think that Florida, Virginia, or Pennsylvania will switch, but could see possibilities on the other ones.

Couple of points to add...

1, Iowa is a solid dem state this election so I'd remove it. Obama has done very well there since the start of the primaries, he's well ahead.

2, No way in hell republicans pickup Pennsylvania and Minnesota.

3, I also think it's a fat chance Dems flip Florida or NC even though polls are very close.

4, Michigan is key. If Dems lose Michigan life get's tough. They'd need VA and CO if so.

5, in my opinion the true tossups are Ohio, Nevada, Virginia, and Colorado. The polls are dead heat in all.

It'll go red, but Obama can make McCain spend money here he didn't want to spend earlier.

I wonder, historically, how much weight the AARP endorsement carries. (no sarcasm)
