it's like having a metal feeding tube shoved down your throat and then eating your own enlarged, diseased liver

^^^you're thinking of filbert the turtle on rocko's modern life

^^my family used to raise those commercially raised chickens. all i can say is campbell's chicken noodle soup is questionable.

Meh, I just watched the video and it seems like just crappy management. This sort of crap didn't go down on the poultry farm I worked on.

TASTY BASTARDS!

though they should employ more lean practices, sell unsuitable ducks to meat farms or sell them to butchers directly, they would make more money that way and less waste

breaking the neck is probably one of the quickest ways to kill a duck, and yes, the flap around after death for quite a bit

This must be a culture thing but the Japanese would (and do) eat anything. Could this be like a competitive thing that got out of control?

Fois gras is fucking delicious.

For the sake of pointing out that as with all industries, there are some productions that are really bad. Those are the ones that also produce the worst fois.

Plus, Bourdain is awesome.

Yep, and just because its flapping around doesn't mean it's not dead.

I kind of wondered about all the ducks they were seemingly killing and just disposing of. That seems like a waste of resources considering they could have been sold for other purposes. But there's a good chance the guy making the video didn't fully know what was going on.
