The new series premiered last night...Jennie Garth and Shanned Doherty are in it bringing back their characters Kelly Taylor (guidance counsellor) and Brenda Walsh (theatre teacher) to West Beverly. Lori Loughlin (Full House) plays Debbie Wilson, mother of Annie--the Kansas transplant family. Rob Estes plays Annie's dad/West Beverly principal. More characters that I don't care to name at the moment, but I must say that the male teacher is le hawt

Thus far, I don't think it doesn't hold a candle to the original Beverly Hills 90210, but it wasn't terrible. I'll watch it again to see how it develops before throwing in the towel. Anyone else catch it last night?

I never really watched the original 90210 so I can't compare...

but i like the new one so far. It seemed like what I expected it to be.

And yes the teacher, Matt I think is his name, is definitely a cutie patootie. He wears the scruffy look verrry well!

It wasn't too bad. I enjoyed it. I felt like the tie-ins were a little too forced but we all knew they would be.

the fact that they brought up Rob Estes having an adopted kid with an ex girlfriend this early really suprised me. I felt like they needed to develop the kids a little more before they go and drop a bomb on the adult story line like that.

But all in all i enjoyed it. Still having a hard time taking the guy who plays Ethan as the serious main man in the show. and they need to give tristin wilde (dixon) more face time. he rocked on the wire.

never really watched the original show, but i watched this last night out of boredom and a love for degrassi TNG, wasn't terrible, pretty predictable, but the girls are really hot, my only complaint is that the first half had an ungodly ammount of commercials, i was checking out the clock, and at one point they had a SIX minute commercial break followed by 4 minutes of actual show, then another god damn commercial break

I wonder what happened to Ty since he wasn't in his hotel room when Annie stopped by. Maybe he got some from Adrianna and left?

I understand that Adrianna is pissed b/c Annie took her role in the play...but thats what understudies do. They go on in case the other person can't. And Adrianna was on something. It was really low to go to Ty and tell him that she saw Annie and Ethan kissing.

This (and Gossip Girl) are my two guilty pleasure shows.

last night's episode was ok

I feel bad for Naomi...she is really trying to keep her family together and her dad is a dick for yelling at her at the party.

When that agent was like "whose the baby daddy"...I knew some shit was gonna fly I was like "oh no he didn't!"


So they have basically written Brenda and Kelly off the show for a while.

Next week's episode looks promising w/ Naomi taking the blame for Adrianna's drugs.

I bet they are going to do a plot where Ryan hooks up w/ one of his students...I still think it'll be Adrianna.

adrianna is fine but in rehab

and mr. matthews and kim (undercover cop) made out in the parking lot (after he found out that she is 25 and a cop)...that'll make for some fun after school activities for them.

I really don't like Naomi's mom. I'm glad that Annie's mom told her off. GO AUNT BECKY!

So Sean is the son tthat appears like a good ole boy going off to war, but really has a bad streak with the episode closing with a sketchy phone call back home......just like Tiffany Amber Theisen (Valerie) was the cousin that came to town, seemed sweet and innocent on the exterior at the arrival, but her first episode closed with her smoking a joint making a sketchy phone call back home

I mean, hey! it works...i just kind of dislike that they are really paralleling the stories of the Walshes and the Wilsons

and I've now just noticed that the out of town hollywood transplant families last names both start with W...jeezus! i dunno...

I can't wait for January 6th...looks like both Adrianna and Brenda are knocked up. I have no idea who knocked up Adrianna b/c I was under the impression that Naveed and her hadn't had sex.

Looks like Brenda might be knocked up by Ryan. When the show returns in January, I wonder if Kimberly will be back too.
