I just got my Xbox 360 back from microsoft (had the RROD), and I have found that my controller no longer connects to the console.

I have tried pushing the sync button on the console, the sync button on the controller, but nothing works.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Let's get the obvious stuff out of the way.

- Did you turn the controller on? Hold down the Guide button to turn it on, then hold down the sync button on the controller until the lights flash in a circular pattern. (don't just tap the button)

If both the console and controller lights are flashing in a circle it should sync.

A buddy of mine just had the exact same problem. Didn't matter what he did. He ended up calling microsoft support and they ended up having him send it in for warranty work.
