Haven't seen the Panthers do something close to that since Weinke racially profiled all of our WRs to a win against the Lions a few years ago 9/7/2008 9:12:29 PM |

This was not one of those times. I was impressed with his poise at the end of the chargers game, however, he's still full of WTF moments waiting to happen (they usually happen against the falcons) 9/8/2008 3:24:36 PM |

SAINTS?!?!
Last time I checked the saints lost to a david-carr led team.
And then HURRICANE KASAY came out of no where devastating new orleans with a 52 yarder to give you an 0-4 start to the season

^^The only reason he wasn't out for much longer is because he's one of the most important players on the team.
You don't just punch a teammate and get off with nothing.
And personally I stopped caring about the Panthers a few years ago. Would MUCH rather have seen P.Riv and the Chargers win that one. 9/11/2008 12:40:05 PM |

you do if its not caught on camera, at least thats what pretty much all the former NFL players that I've heard asked about it have said...that stuff like that happens all the time, and it gets handled in house

Well then I'm curious, since I'm also from Charlotte, what made you stop caring about the Panthers, your home NFL team? 9/11/2008 1:17:45 PM |

I guess you could call me a fairweather fan for it, but I've never followed pro sports very hard at all. I cheered for the Panthers (since they were the home team) for a few years up to the season in which they had their run for the Superbowl, and I actually payed a lot of attention to them that year. Since then they've been stumbling around mediocrity despite high expectations, and I've started disliking Delhomme for his annoyingly inconsistent play and started doubting Fox's coaching ability for various reasons. All that combines to the point where I just sort of shrug them off now. I'll root for the Panthers over a lot of other teams, but the bottom line is that I'm pretty indifferent to them.
On the other hand, I've liked NC State sports for quite a while, I actually do care about college football much more than NFL, and I loved watching the team play under Rivers. Once Rivers went to the Chargers (thanks to Eli being a whiny little bitch) I started following them, and I've liked the team ever since. 9/11/2008 1:28:05 PM |

Fair enough
I obviously love State as well, and I want to see Rivers win a couple Super Bowls, but I'm also a big NFL fan. I'll be at the Bears game this weekend acting the fool. Besides this might be our best team ever, and with Brady out of it, the Super Bowl is literally up for grabs] 9/11/2008 1:28:45 PM |
