A person with industry experience might be able to provide some insight regarding average salaries. Obviously, there are exceptions...but not everyone will make 200K with an MBA, and not everyone with a MS degree will make only 40K.

^^internships mean jack shit. i'm talking about an internship experience that led to a real job, even part time. PAID. doing work that you can put on a resume. the market is slacking off and the people with the best resumes (experience) are getting the jobs.with the business job, you better have 5+ years of regular + management experience. unless you go into sales. in that case you better have an MBA and be wayyyyy better than the next guy.an MS with your focus in research, hmm ... you better have some damned good ideas and have worked under some pretty kick ass scientists in school and out. of course you'll have to deal with the kick ass scientists stealing your ideas for years until you get published on your own, but still...
