seems to be the case. I'm an athletic build with some fat I could still lose and i'm 5'8 150. For her to be two inches shorter than me and only 5lbs less than me, given that she definitely has far less muscle mass then I can quite easily suggest she is not height/weight proportionate. My girlfriend as it stands is 5'3" and 110. I can't imagine her with 30 more pounds even if she was an additional 3".

Sounds like some of the ladies here need to get off tww and go hit the gym.

And your girlfriend is just 6 pounds away from being considered "underweight" according to her BMI. She could gain 30 pounds and still be considered a normal, healthy weight.

I would argue that BMI is not an accurate measure, since it doesn't compute the difference in weight between muscle mass and fat, nor does it address body fat %.

I agree that BMI is not a gold standard as far as health is concerned, but it is useful in this argument since we're throwing weight and height around.
