I'm here at work. Every morning at my desk I have a piece of fruit and an Archer Farms Fruit Medley granola bar.

I opened my granola bar package, and I thought it looked a little funny. When I removed it from the package, I noticed a small grub or worm of some kind crawling around in there. FTL. At least not eating it won't be an issue since I'm no longer hungry.

I just looked in the trash can. There are two more crawling on the granola bar itself in addition to the one still in the package.

Don't be a pussy.

It is just a worm or insect of sime kind. It won't make you sick, and you won't even taste it. Hell, it will provide some protein and minerals! I would understand if it was mould or bacterial contamination.

EAT IT.

We are in the first world here. There's no good reason to eat food with bugs in it.

My first response was to fill out the email us contact form to see what would happen.

Target has officially offered me TWO $3 coupons.

From my post in a Little Debbie thread a while back;
Quote :
"My brother once found a hunk of plastic in his oatmeal cookie. So we called up Little Debbie and they wanted the half eaten cookie, the plastic, and the rest of the box of uneaten creme pies. Sent us a box for return shipping that was full of various Little Debbie products and coupons."

I'd expect at least as much, especially if I found something living in my food.

...

While moth larvae commonly get into grains and other loosely closed items

...How do you propose that they got from his pantry into a completely sealed item, or out of it, into his panty?

Teleportation?

something similar happened to me last week. My mom had mailed me a pack of sundried tomatoes awhile back. I finally decided to use them and discover grubs crawling around in the bag

Shit happens. You can certainly try to sue target, but they don't even make that shit, you'll likely end up speaking with someone at quaker or nabisco and you'll end up bankrupt before you get anything other than some coupons and a formal apology.

Haha...I'm not looking to sue them. I was thinking a gift card between $25 and $100 would be nice.

Hey, they offered me two $3 coupons. I would have been an idiot if I didn't say, thanks but no thanks, try a little harder than that. If they come back with more, great. If not, I'm not going to cry over $6 in coupons.

It was worth a try. I mean, why not?

I was supposed to get a gift basket from Merita back in the day for some bread I found worms in, but those assholes never gave me one.
