we had an antenna on the top of the house that we could rotate via a control box, in order to tune in a particular channel on TV.

i think we could get like 6 channels when all our neighbors only got 4.

remember that shit? three major channels on the VHF knob, then the others would have to be on the UHF knob.

I also remember when the microwave became popular.

everyone thought they were going to kill us or mutate our babies.

my school was rife with stories about how someone was trying to dry their cat off in the microwave and it exploded. invariably, they always had to bury the whole microwave in the back yard.

i like eject buttons on remotes. so that you don't have to stand the extra 3 seconds waiting for it to open/close the tray after you walk across the room.

Haha, yes!

We had a VCR that had a remote control ... with a cord. It would get tangled like crazy and it was almost impossible to walk in front of the TV without tripping over the cord. But it was cool to not have to get up.
