Yeah I know you don't care.
But seriously, if anyone has ever been or preferably lived in the Albanyish area (I am actually going to be stationed at Saratoga Springs) let me know. I'm still not sure where I am going to live. I know I am going to rent, and I know I want to be within 45 minutes of Albany. Other than that I am pretty much open to anything.
I have heard the hiking and camping there is awesome. I have never been big into that in the past, but I could really see myself doing something along those lines. 9/14/2008 12:29:31 PM |

I have decided to rent it. We found some seemingly flawless renters (knock on wood) who wil be renting for at least two years, maybe more. It works out great.
Now the big decision is whether or not to refinance. I really have no desire to pay closing costs again, however I am now entering the final year of my 3/1 ARM. As of now, my interest rate (and payment) would go down if it adjusted today because of the crappy housing market. I imagine the situation won't change too much in the next 9 months. It just sucks because I have no idea how long I am going to keep the house, so I can't do the typical calculation that tells you if you should refi or not. Oh well, I think everything will work out fine. 9/14/2008 1:13:43 PM |

I lived in Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo.
Also, if you can afford it, keep that house as long as you can and rent it out. 9/14/2008 1:44:10 PM |
