^^word i couldnt tell from up in the 500 level

thats an interesting aspect though...do you count players who got injured strictly from contact with panthers players, or guys like hester who literally got injured from fear of rhys lloyd's mammoth leg?

^yeah broken ankles i'd have to probably go ahead and curtail...smitty broke 4 dolphins players ankles on one play

good point ernie, the packers are a whole 0 games ahead of the panthers in the conference standings right now

or are you even still a packers fan?

[Edited on September 17, 2008 at 10:05 PM. Reason : might've converted to the jets like other favre slobbers or packers fans not from wisconsin]

Good point, I was completely unaware of that

How far behind are we in the Opposing Players Sent To IR standings? I'm very interested in those numbers.

I'll stop trying to crap on your thread now. Congrats on your team proficiently injuring other players, every team needs something to hang their cap on.

^if you were on a Wisconsin Badgers messageboard i'm sure people would love to see how the packers broke steve smith's leg...but thank you for curtailing your derailing

Huh?

I'm not trying to preach, I just think it's pretty lousy to be proud of a team or player for injuring someone, intentional or not. The point of the game isn't to do bodily harm and potentially end someone's livelihood. It's pretty fucking classless to brag about that sort of thing. Carry on, meathead.

[Edited on September 17, 2008 at 10:12 PM. Reason : I'm done now! Really! That's all I wanted to say!]

pride? bragging? meathead? where did you imagine that? certainly not from anything in this thread, i can only imagine your hatred of your local team bred that imaginary idea

and the "had to do with stats" comment was (obviously) in regards to

but anyway..

Quote :
"Sexual assault allegation
Irvin sustained further damage to his reputation in 1996 when controversy reared its head again as the Cowboys prepared to play the Carolina Panthers for their NFC Divisional Playoff game. Media reports stated that Irvin and teammate Erik Williams had sexually assaulted a Dallas woman, Nina Shahravan, and, with a gun to her head, videotaped the interaction.

Despite Williams' and Irvin's denials of the allegations, the story overshadowed the game, which the Cowboys lost.
The accuser was later proven to have fabricated the entire incident. She recanted her story, pled guilty to perjury and filing a false police report and was sentenced to 90 days in prison and a fine.
In the first quarter of the playoff game with Carolina, with Shahravan's allegations under active investigation by Dallas police, Irvin suffered a broken collarbone, ending his 1996 season."

im pretty sure we were the ones that killed cadillac williams and basically ended his career

we basically ended fred smoots career the same game as culpepper, not bc of injury, but that is the game steve smith burnt him 3 or 4 times deep after he was talkin shit and he has sucked ever since.

[Edited on September 18, 2008 at 11:27 AM. Reason : as stated earlier in the thread lol... i was there for the culpepper game]

^Same thing with DeAngelo Hall to an extent. He hasn't been the same since that meltdown vs. Smitty.

I like that we're becoming known as a team that hurts people. That should be our free agent pitch: Come here, or we'll fuck you up
