Bobby Purcell really is the best in the business. I just hope that we don't lose him to some other more high profile university.

Quote : | "One of those wealthy alums is Richard Vaughn, the chief executive of a North Carolina general contracting company. One afternoon in the summer of 2005, after lunch at a popular hangout across from the stadium, Mr. Purcell took the CEO to the football coaches' offices. As they stood over a conference room table, he unrolled an architectural rendering of a four-story building with the 51 luxury suites he wanted to build atop the stands on the stadium's west side. He'd asked the architect to create a rendering with "C. Richard Vaughn Towers" splashed across the building." |
I think the author got his year wrong. He probably hit 5 when he meant to hit 2 on the numpad. the Vaughn Towers were being built in 2004, and they even had a sign saying something like "C. Richard Vaughn Towers coming in 2005" during the season. I think in 02 they were raising the money for the towers.9/19/2008 10:59:41 AM |
