You are on record in that thread saying that ECU-State isn't a rivalry. Maybe you weren't around for the 80's and 90's... I mean I guess its unfair for me to expect you to know who State's rivals are.

And even to lump in Evans with TOB is stupid, given that Evans was blatantly from Chuck's last year. That's one of the reasons chuck was canned, among many others

dude. i know we used to be a rivalry, but they kind of killed that in 92 when we stopped playing them. anyone with any common sense knows this. My brother and sister both went to EZU, so I know they see us as a rival. They always give me shit about it, whilst I always look at them like

actually the series was halted after the '87 game because of the fight. when you have to suspend a series because of a riot, i think that constitutes a rivalry.

Exactly. A rivalry game is one you look forward to all year, it's one of the most important wins of the season.... most State fans I know just wonder why we even bother to play ECU every year.

I can understand that, but that killed the actual rivalry. We stopped playing them, we stopped caring. Sorry, man.

I'd easily call UNC-NCSU a rivalry, given that UNC fans got us on NCAA violations. twice. that is a fucking rivalry. and a dirty one at that.

the other difference between ECU/NCSU and UNC/NCSU is that I won't be laughing at ecu fans and picking on them. UNC fans will do that to us when they beat us. that's the biggest difference.
